January 22rd, 2012 - Sanctity of Human Life Day
Join us on January 22nd between 1pm & 3pm to mark the 39th anniversary of Roe v. Wade at a Rally For Life! Pastor Jim Garlow of Skyline Church will speak, special music will be provided and BBQ tri-tip sandwiches provided by the Lutheran Holy Smokers. Keiller Leadership Academy Auditorium 7270 Lisbon Street-San Diego 92114.
In a January 13, 1984 proclamation, President Ronald Reagan designated January 22, 1984 as the first National Sanctity of Human Life Day. The date was chosen to coincide with the 11th anniversary of the Roe v. Wade Supreme Court case that legalized abortions in the United States and Doe v. Bolten which made abortion legal throughout all nine month of pregnancy if the mother's health was in jeopardy-which includes emotional stress of pregnancy, and it opend the door for this law to be upheld in all 50 states. Reagan issued the proclamation annually thereafter, designating Sanctity of Human Life Day to be the third Sunday in January, which represents the closest Sunday to the original January 22 date. His successor, George H. W. Bush, continued the annual proclamation throughout his presidency. Bush's successor, Bill Clinton, discontinued the practice throughout his eight years in office, but Bush's son and Clinton's successor, George W. Bush, resumed the proclamation, and has done so every year since his inauguration. The pro-life community has continued to set this day aside each year since it’s inception to pray for an end to abortion. East County Pregnancy Care Clinic offers pro-life material to the community churches to assist in their remembrance of this day.

March 10th, 2012 - Walk For Life
Download the Pledge Form and Flyer: Click Here
Each spring, East County Pregnancy Care Clinic holds an annual, two-mile, “stroller to wheelchair” Walk for Life fundraiser. Participants obtain sponsors who pledge a total amount to be donated upon the walker's completion of the event. This, in turn, helps raise important funds for the ongoing operation of the Clinic. On the day of the event, walkers gather at a community park and Walk for Life while praying to end abortion in this country. Those not able to attend can walk on their own wherever they are--so this is truly something everyone can do. Not only is the Walk a fun and fit way to raise money for the Clinic, but it also makes a statement, letting the world know that the Culture of Life is alive and well in San Diego County! Please join us immediately following the Walk for a celebratory picnic. Hot dogs will be provided free of charge! Call (619)442-4357 for more information.
